For this month’s TFIM Talk, LCCTC’s in-house referees focused on how to build that image of trust and diplomatically handle criticism, a skill particularly beneficial to students. Many qualities needed as a referee could be applied to cultivate a professional image and advance in any career.

GEM Affair: "All Hands on Deck"

Lawrence County women in business and industry are showing their support for the next generation as these young women navigate toward their future careers — especially in business and industry. For young women in Lawrence County, guidance from mentors who have already paved the way truly does exist, and perhaps the networking opportunity offered at the GEM Affair was a very important first-step toward that journey.

Learning to Lead: SkillsUSA District 10 Leadership Conference

One of the purposes of SkillsUSA is to offer opportunities for members to put new leadership skills into practice. At the 2019 Leadership Conference in December, twenty-one members of the Lawrence County CTC Chapter of SkillsUSA grasped that opportunity, had fun, and learned many valuable lessons -- especially about leadership and what it means to be the best leader possible.
