CA Students Kick Off the Year with a Community Impact!

Our talented and creative CA students have already made their mark this school year with an impressive community project! Within just the first two weeks of classes, our advanced/intermediate Commercial Art students completed 36 promotional signs and two large banners to help Harmony, PA promote its upcoming “Sleepy Hollow” event.

This project wasn’t just about making signs—it was about applying real-world industry skills. Students worked with commercial sign-making techniques and vinyl plotting technologies, learning the same processes professionals use in the design industry.

Creating an effective sign requires more than creativity—it takes planning and technical skill. Students carefully designed each piece with clear, concise messaging, bold contrasting colors, and large, readable fonts to ensure maximum impact. They selected durable, weather-resistant materials like corrugated plastic to withstand outdoor conditions and made sure every sign highlighted essential event details with strong calls-to-action and eye-catching graphics.

The result? Professional-quality signage that will be seen by hundreds of community members throughout Harmony this month.

We are incredibly proud of our CA students for starting the year with such a meaningful and impactful project. Their work not only promotes a local event but also demonstrates how career and technical education connects classroom learning with real-world application.

Congratulations and great job, CA!
