Lawrence County CTC earns 32 Medals at D10 Championships
They completed service projects, sold candy bars, crafted polished resumes, and practiced relentlessly for one important day—January 22, 2026—a day that was equal parts nerve-wracking and exhilarating: the District 10 Championships.
The best of the best from 13 technical schools across Western Pennsylvania gathered at Lawrence County CTC and the New Castle School of Trades to demonstrate their skills. In all, more than 500 students competed in 71 different contests. Volunteer industry experts generously gave their time and talents to assist with judging and, in some cases, to chair the events.
Lawrence County CTC selected 56 students to represent their shops and the school across three categories: Skilled and Technical Sciences, Occupational Development, and Leadership. When the sawdust settled—after each score sheet was carefully checked and double-checked and the final results were entered—33 students earned medals.
Here’s the truth: every student was successful. Their willingness to try, commitment to patient practice, and peace in knowing they could say, “I did my very best,” defined the day. Regardless of the outcome, each participant represented LCCTC with exceptional skill and professionalism. We are incredibly proud of them all.
And on Thursday, January 22, we will finally get to celebrate every one of these outstanding students.
