LCCTC Welcomes New Principal, Mr Orelli
by Desiree D’Ambrosi, Commercial Art Class of 2026
“Not every day will be good, but if you keep showing up, good things will happen” ~ Mr. Ernest Orelli, Principal
In these past few weeks at LCCTC, we’ve seen many faces: Some old and some new. We’ve seen old friendships flourish again, and new ones form among our new students as they arrive. In the midst of everything, we’ve also seen a new face among the crowd. One who has been at the front doors of LCCTC every day, greeting each student with a friendly face and a “Good Morning,” and who has been helping students and faculty alike. This new face has had a very extensive career at LCCTC, was called away for new opportunities, and is now happy to be back as your new principal. Let’s give a warm welcome to our new principal, Mr.Orelli!
Mr. Orelli is someone who may know the halls of LCCTC better than most students and many faculty here at LCCTC! Before Mr. Orelli took the position of Principal, he had worked as a History teacher at LCCTC for 19 years. His journey then took him to accept a job as Assistant Principal of Butler Tech for three years before returning to LCCTC. Throughout his career at LCCTC, Mr. Orelli has brought many positive changes. He established the SWPB incentives and trips and has been a football coach at several schools in Lawrence County. He has always been one to not only help out LCCTC but also the community of Lawrence County.
Now serving our LCCTC community as Principal, Mr. Orelli plans to help us make this school the best it can be. He makes it a priority to highlight the voices and opinions of the students and staff here, as he describes LCCTC as his “home.” He sees all the students and staff as the core, keeping this school as great as it already is. He celebrates changes already made to this school, such as the grant that funds the newest Drone Class, and is proud of being instrumental in bringing new staff here to LCCTC.
Mr. Orelli wants to put a positive spotlight on the school, showing off the hard work and talents of LCCTC’s students. He hopes that this year at LCCTC is the best one yet.
Mr. Orelli can’t wait to see how this school will grow this year and how, at LCCTC, WE ARE RISING!
