Bump, Set, Spike! Student vs. Staff Volleyball 2025

One of our favorite times of the year, the annual student versus teacher volleyball game.

A few weeks prior, about 6 teams of students group together and battle for the top spot during activity period — game after game, winning team after winning team — until one group of students win.

This year’s winning student team consisted of Jhenavesza Miller, Coulter Street, Aaliyah Sizer-Anderson, William Lindner, Lamar Hines, Zackary Christy, Laela Kineston, Shawna Boice, and Cole Lanshck. This group of nine earned the opportunity to go against their teachers in a highly competitive volleyball game.

This year’s teacher team of Mr.Simon, Ms.Tyler, Ms.Jones, Mr.Ryan, Mr. Nych, and Ms. Atkinson was assisted by a few great serves from our principal Mrs. Ciaazia. The game went on for three sets as the audience stayed captivated watching the players dive for balls to keep them in bounds. Teachers bumped, set, and spiked the ball while points added up. However, this year, their efforts were challenged by a team stacked with some incredible student players.

In the end. the student team claimed victory winning all three sets.
