This is How McCarthy Rolls: Wilmington Bocce Team

Congratulations to Paden McCarthy, sophomore Construction Trades student for a successful Bocce season with his team at Wilmington High School. Paden and his team were able to finish third in their division! "I've been playing Bocce for 2 years at this point," McCarthy shares. He reports that it was one of his teachers at Wilmington who convinced him to join the team.

"Bocce is a lot of fun," McCarthy states, "because I get to meet new people and learn to work and problem solve with them."

In the past, he has enjoyed the times when he and his team have won some significant tournaments and have visited Geneva College to compete against so many schools in the region.

When asked about the employable skills he's developed from his experience, he states "Problem-solving, teamwork, precision, and coordination are all skills that help me in Bocce and in Construction Trades."

His plan is to continue with the team until he graduates. "I want to see my teammates go far and have great experiences as I did so far!"

Congratulations Paden -- we're proud of you, and congratulations to the Wilmington Bocce Team!
