March Student of the Month: AJ Procopio

by Mr. Ryan Nych, Conservation Club Advisor & English Instructor

March of 2024 LCCTC Student of the Month has been granted to a deserving senior, Anthony Procopio of Construction Trades.

Procopio has shown dedication by being here, responsibility by being ready, authority by being respectful, and citizenship by being safe. Procopio’s dedication goes far beyond simply being a body that occupies a classroom; rather, he dedicates himself to becoming a master of his craft and using any available information and resources that will help him succeed later in life. He is not simply ready with his toolbelt and pencil, but also, he is ready to accept the responsibility that comes with being a student of a trade - a true willingness to learn and a passion for his craft. He is not simply respectful because it is the right way to act; he responds with authority and authenticity to become a student leader in many situations in which he includes himself at the LCCTC. He understands that safety goes beyond the OSHA regulations of his shop and acts as a well-rounded citizen of the school and Lawrence County area by creating a reasoned, managed, and open working environment for his peers. He seeks out ways to improve himself in shop, attends and responds in academic settings, and has been a mentor for peers and underclassmen alike. Building is what he does and not only in his vocation. Procopio is motivated and driven with an eye on his future. He has competed and placed in Skills USA proving he is a top candidate for future employers and pushes himself out of his comfort zone to continue his growth and strengthen his fortitude. He has been an active member, a student-adviser for the LCCTC Conservation Club during his three years here at the CTC, and has pushed initiatives and topics within the Club, the largest of these initiatives is yet to come before his graduation.

We celebrate the Student of the Month for March 2024 and look forward to what more he will build moving forward.
