Drones Take Flight: A First Day Full of Excitement and Exploration

Today marked an exciting milestone as students unboxed their brand-new drones and prepared to take to the skies—indoors, of course! The room buzzed with energy as boxes were opened, controllers powered up, and propellers began to hum. The sturdy design of these beginner-friendly drones gave everyone the confidence to explore, even when a few flew into walls or brushed ceilings. Thanks to their durable build, there were no broken parts—and no broken spirits!

Before takeoff, students learned the essential safety guidelines: keeping fingers clear of spinning propellers, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and always flying with care and control. With controllers in hand, they quickly got the hang of navigation, laughter erupting as drones zig-zagged and hovered, some with more grace than others. Of course, with a mindset of SAFETY FIRST, all wore protective eyewear.

Principal Orelli and Vice Principal Pavia stopped by to witness the action and were met with wide eyes and grins as students showcased their early flying skills. It was clear that this was more than just a fun day—it was the beginning of a hands-on learning journey in technology, responsibility, and creative play.

Stay tuned for more high-flying adventures ahead!
