SkillsUSA Watch Party

Faraone Brothers banquet room on New Castle’s South Side: It was the perfect place to gather with family and friends for the final SkillsUSA event of the year. After a year of being 6 feet apart and virtual preparation and competition, ironically, this time they gathered together!

What an event it was: Lots of red, white, and blue; pizza, chicken planks, and French fries; and good friends and family.

And the highlight of the afternoon: Hearing LCCTC’s name called for Basic Health Care Skills as Parker Frelin’s name rang out loud and clear — a silver medal!

Though virtual instruction has been tough and virtual competition proved to be a challenge, our students all made it through, they’ve learned a lot, and this experience has been worth it!

Congratulations to our LCCTC national competitors — for their their resilience, for the skills they gained, and, of course, for representing Lawrence County so well
