"A Nightmare Before Christmas" ~ 2021 Holiday Court Float

“What's this? What's this? There's color everywhere . . .

I've never felt so good before. This empty place inside of me is filling up.

I simply cannot get enough. Oh, I want it for my own . . . Christmas Town. . .”

Inspired by A Nightmare Before Christmas, LCCTC’s Student Council created a bit of Christmas Town for the 2021 Hometown Holiday Parade. Complete with Jack Skeleton (junior Trinity McCommons, CA from Shenango) and candy-wielding skeletons (the class officers and members of the Student Council Planning Committee), the float carried the Holiday Dance Court and the Class Advisors. At the front of LCCTC’s Entry were twin skeletons, Rachel (HA) and Rebecca (VA) Carbone from New Castle, and carrying the spooky streamers were members of the Lawrence County CTC Chapter of SkillsUSA: Tia Bowser (Wel from New Castle), Lane Madras (CA from New Castle), and Katie Tillia (CA from Ellwood).

On Holiday Court this year are senior queen candidates Amber Birckbichler (MTT from Mohawk), Katie Bober (VA from Laurel), Parker Frelin (unable to attend ~ HA from Ellwood), Akexis Koelliker (Cos from Shenango), and Maylene Ritter (Cos from Ellwood). Along with the Class Officers for the Class of 2023 & 2024, Amber, Alexis, and Maylene ~ also Officers for the Class of 2022, helped plan the float and continue to organize the upcoming Holiday Dance, “Silver Bells.”

The class advisors, officers, and committee would like to thank Mr. Bruce Koelliker and Dell’s Garage for driving this year’s float. We greatly appreciate the generosity and encourage everyone to consider Dell’s Garage whenever you need light or heavy towing, auto inspection, or car repairs. Once again, thank you!
