SkillsUSA Costume Day!

Who says that Halloween is only for little kids; teens love to get into the spirit of the season, too — heck, even our staff joined in on the fun. We’re talking about SkillsUSA Costume Day at LCCTC!

Proceeds for each dollar ticket purchased will be used to help our students compete in their industry and leadership contests.

All-day long, everywhere you looked, you might see good ole Ebenezer Scrooge, a scarecrow couple, a dalmations and firefighters, creepy clowns, wicked witches and walking dead, or a giant Barney!

At the end of the day, from the throng of costumed career carousers, there were five winners: Best Couple went to Bonnie and Clyde (Karsten Alwardt ~ EO and Lucy Allen ~ RT), Best Group went to the group from the “100 Aker Wood” (Hayleigh Graham ~ HA, Jennifer Graham ~ HA, Halie Diffenbacher ~ HA, and Elia McKnight ~ EO), Scariest Costume went to the Conjuring Nun ( Keyaria Snider, Cos), and Best Costume went to a Bratz doll (Daniella, RT). The ultimate award, Editor’s Choice, was based on the execution of costume, makeup, and hair; it is voted on by the participating teachers in costume. This year, the Editor’s Choice award goes to “Doja Cat” (Lillyian Bell, VA)!

LCCTC and SkillsUSA send our wishes to you for a safe, fun-filled, Happy Halloween!
