Recognizing Peer Leader Graduates
Peer Leaders have earned their blue and white honor cords. Go out into the world and live a life of service!
The Peer Leadership is a school educational program that looks upon trained Peer Leader Upperclassmen to help ease the transition to the underclassmen's respective sophomore year at the LCCTC. The Peer Leader Program stresses communal interaction and social insight. Before meeting with smaller groups of newcomers, the veteran Peer Leader is trained to deal and mentor with the educational needs the newcomers may express.
Peer Leaders chair countless service projects including: United Way Day of Caring, Pink Out, Turkey Boxes, Penny War, Give a Christmas, Stick Up of Paws, the Dodge Ball Tournament, “Wack for a Warrior,” and many more! They learn to organize each campaign, to communicate with peers and adults, to delegate and distribute keeping others’ strength in mind, and to lead by example as they work side-by-side.
Typically first to step up, our Peer Leaders exemplify this quote by Martin Luther King Jr. ~ “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: “What are you doing for others?” We wish them all the success in the world and a life fulfilled through service.
