Our 2020 Graduates Rise: Scott Burgin

ROTARY PHIL PHELPS AWARD: Students are first nominated by their shop teachers, and then the entire staff has the ability to vote for their choice of candidates who they feel should receive the award. Criteria is heavily based on the outstanding performance in the shop, but academic excellence is also considered.

Scott’s Restaurant Trades Instructor, Ms. Jen Price, describes Scott as “a dedicated leader and worker in multiple events the shop has catered for the school and the community. Watching him grow and excel has been a rewarding experience.” He will, undoubtedly, make a great impact in the culinary field.
