Day-to-Day Substitute Positions

The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing (KES) to provide day-to-day substitute teachers.

Minimum Requirements: PA state clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training, and TB test results 

Teachers: $80.00/day

Active PA teaching certificates will be accepted. If you or someone you know holds a Bachelor’s degree, contact the local Kelly branch to learn more about emergency certification.

Veterinary Technician Assistant Instructor

A potential opening is available for a Veterinary Technician Assistant Instructor at the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. 

We seek a highly organized, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who has experience and the desire to work with teenagers.  The instructional program will prepare individuals to work under the supervision of veterinarians, laboratory animal specialists, and zoological professionals, to provide patient management, care and clinical procedures assistance as well as owner communication.  The program includes instructional animal nursing care, animal health and nutrition, animal handling, clinical pathology, radiology, anesthesiology, dental prophylaxis, surgical assisting, clinical laboratory procedures, office administration skills, patient and owner management, and applicable standards and regulations.

This position requires 4,000 hours of verifiable employment in the area during the last 10 years (teaching experience does not count). The position does not initially require a teaching certificate. The chosen candidate will enroll in a teacher certification program.

Special Education Instructor

The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center is accepting applications for a Special Education Instructor.  Special consideration will be given to those applicants who are highly qualified in multiple areas.
