Day-to-Day Substitute Positions
The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing (KES) to provide day-to-day substitute teachers.
Minimum Requirements: PA state clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training, and TB test results
Active PA teaching certificates will be accepted. If you or someone you know holds a Bachelor’s degree, contact the local Kelly branch to learn more about emergency certification.

An opening is available for a welding instructor at the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. We seek a highly organized, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who has experience and the desire to work with teenagers. The instructional program will prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in gas, arc, shielded and non-shielded metal arc, brazing, flame cutting and plastic welding. Hand, semi-automatic and automatic welding processes are also included in the instruction. Students learn safety practices and types and uses of electrodes and welding rods; properties of metals; blueprint reading; electrical principles; welding symbols and mechanical drawing; use of equipment for testing welds by ultrasonic methods and destruction and hardness testing; use of manuals and specification charts; use of portable grinders and chemical baths for surface cleaning; positioning and clamping; and welding standards established by the American Welding Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and American Bureau of Ships.
This position requires 4,000 hours of verifiable employment in the area during the last 10 years. The position does not initially require a teaching certificate. The chosen candidate will enroll in a teacher certification program.
